Can't you change your username without making multiple accounts? That’s correct. I agree with SharksFan99 decision to ban the offending account holder. No point in letting the issue continue on from here.

In case you were wondering, the new member "TwilightPrince16" deleted himself (and his posts) from the forum. He previously had an account on Popedia under the username, "WiiFan". I plan on banning him from accessing the forum. As far as I'm concerned, if he was really interested in being here, he wouldn't create/delete accounts on a regular basis. He does it on other forums as well. I'm very curious as to why he does it? Can't you change your username without making multiple accounts? I'm not sure. On inthe00s, he has created/deleted at least 4 accounts. It's strange. Yep. The only thing you need to do is go to your profile settings and then change the "display name". I don't understand why he doesn't do that.

"The Rising Night" theme will be unavailable for an indefinite amount of time. The theme requires a bit of maintenance to bring it in-line with the other themes on the forum. I'll keep all of you updated over it's progress.

Halloween is just around the corner and to celebrate the occasion, the "It's the Great Pumpkin" theme is now available! It will be available to use for the month of October. To switch to the new theme, simply go to your profile settings and click on the "settings" tab. Once you have clicked on the "settings" tab, there will be an option to switch to a different theme.

I'm in the process of developing a "Weather Hub" feature for Popedia, which will display weather information for various locations around the world. It's something I've had in mind for quite a while and I know that there are a lot of us who have an interest in the weather, so I thought that it would be a good idea. It's still a work in progress at the moment, but you can visit the Weather Hub here: popedia.boards.net/page/weather-hubI've also created a page based on the weather forecasts for our locations. The weather information is up to date and the backgrounds change to match the forecasts for each area. Please let me know what you think and if anything should be improved. If you would like your location added to it, just let me know.

Just in regards to the "Local Weather" page in the Weather Hub, i'm thinking about making a Fahrenheit version of the weather forecasts as well. That way, it will cater for everyone.

I have made a number of changes to the boards this evening in an effort to streamline the boards and prune sub-boards which receive little to no activity: * There are no longer separate international "TV network", "TV news & current affairs" and "TV program" sub-boards. All three of those sub-boards never received any activity, meaning that it made sense just to merge them with their Australian counterparts. So if you want to talk about TV shows, whether it be a show like Stranger Things or an Australian show such as The Masked Singer, you will find them in the one sub-board. All topics about television shows will be found here. * The "Remember when..." sub-board has been retired. Although the sub-board centred around sharing nostalgia, the majority of the topics are arguably better suited to the other sub-boards on the forum. For instance, the "i miss 2016" and "Early 2010s Nostalgia" threads have been moved to the 2010s sub-board in The Decade Den, while threads such as "What birthdays do you remember?" and "School phrases & slang" have been moved over to the Popedia Lounge. We already have sub-boards which specifically focus on the topics which were found in the "Remember when..." board. It makes more sense to strengthen those other sub-boards and place pop-culture-based threads in the one place, rather than splitting them across the forum. The decision to retire the "Remember when..." was made as a means to avoid any potential confusion as to where certain topics should be created. Also, it was one of the least active pop culture boards on Popedia.

Have made a few more changes:
* There is no longer a separate "Social Media" sub-board in the Community Hub. The links/posts (which were very few) have been combined into a single "Popedia on Social Media" thread, which can be found in the Hub.
* The "Happy Birthday!" sub-board has been merged with the Community Hub. That means, member introduction and happy birthday threads are now in the one sub-board.
* The "Popedia Vault" is no longer a sub-board of the "Announcements & Suggestions" board (which itself is a sub-board of the Hub). It should be much easier to access the Vault now.
* Links to the "International Radio", "Play The Piano!" and "Slot Machine" features in the Extra drop-down menu have been removed. Flash applications no longer run on internet browsers, meaning that those features could no longer be used anyway.
* The "Australian Regional Radio" sub-board has been merged with the Radio board due to a lack of activity. All radio topics can now be found in the one board.
* Updated the descriptions of the "Television & Radio" sub-boards.
* Have merged the "Breakfast Television" and "Current Affairs" sub-boards with the "TV News & Current Affairs" board.
* The "Miscellaneous" sub-board in the "Television & Radio" board has been renamed to "Imagine if...". This is because the "Imagine if..." and "What The Mock?" sub-boards have been merged to form a single sub-board.

Hi everyone, just letting you all know that I am planning on taking a short break from the forum. The main reason for me choosing to do so is because I've been experiencing trouble with the Intel dual band wireless ac 3160 adapter on my laptop. It's an issue that I have been dealing with for close to a year now, however it has gotten particularly bad over the past week. It has gotten to the point where the internet keeps disconnecting on it's own every five minutes or so. I can continue enabling/disabling the adapter to use the internet, which is what I've had to do multiple times an hour, however I thought I would use this opportunity just to take a bit of a break from the internet in general. My computer's harddrive is slowly failing and I still need to copy over hundreds of files onto my external harddrive. If I don't do it soon, I could potentially lose all of those files, which is something I don't want to risk. Our other members of the Popedia Staff will still be here to assist in any questions you might have and to monitor the forum.

Well i'm back (sorry). I'm still experiencing issues with my Intel dual-band wireless ac 3160 adapter, however it hasn't been disconnecting as often since last night. I've decided that i'm going to buy a new laptop either on Tuesday or Wednesday. Until then, I might check in every now and then, but I won't be posting as much.

There is a new theme available to use, titled "Simply Red". To switch to this theme, simply click on the "Edit Profile" button on your member profile, click on the "Settings" tab, scroll down the page and you'll see the "Forum Theme" category, which allows you to change your display theme.

Hi everyone, You may have noticed that your post tally has changed. In case it has, the reason for it is because I have done a mass update to the "total number of posts" counts on the forum. This is because whenever someone decides to delete a post, the post tally doesn't update automatically to reflect there being one less post by that member. It's a frustrating flaw with Proboards that unfortunately has no fix (unless you do it manually for every member). As a result, several members had inaccurate post counts and with many posts being deleted over the past hour, I decided to do a mass update. Your post tally will now be 100% accurate and a true reflection of the actual number of posts you have made on Popedia.

Done. Some people had a huge increase to their post tally due to the fact that posts made in the "Games & Trivia" sub-board never used to be counted. For example, EyewitnessTV 's post tally went up by about 400+ posts and rainbow's increased by about 300 posts.
