I’m actually starting to notice a bit of backlash to it tbh. same, I forget who it was Eminem or someone else that that the internet attempted to get "canceled" and it didn't work at all & the people trying to cancel him were getting destroyed in the comments.

You people must live under a rock something. There has been a backlash against political correctness and cancel culture since 2016

Eminem Has Been Canceled by the Teens on TikTok, and Fans Want to Know Why
BY JOSEPH ALLEN
MAR. 3 2021, UPDATED 12:27 P.M. ET
Although he's been a public figure for decades, Eminem has never shied away from controversy. The most recent dust-up about the rapper has some of his fans baffled, though, in part because it's unclear exactly what kicked it off. Users on TikTok have started a movement to "cancel" the rapper, and the movement has picked up some steam. Even so, many are still unclear about exactly what Eminem has done wrong.

Or will they experience backlash? I believe at this point they are overdone and should experience backlash. The past five years have been a backlash against political correctness. It has brought this country to it's knees. The better question is, will the left try to find some kind of happy medium so we can get through the remainder of the baby boomer era of politics without this leading to civil war or is it already too late for that? Another question is when are we going to see a backlash against right-wing populism that has teeth? Right now, the Trump base is driving policy in this country and the left is more of an opposition ideology.

Those are some great questions you are asking. I would also like to know the answers to them. I wonder when the SJW vs Alt. Right and liberals vs conservatives wars end, if those groups will ever have common ground like they did back in the 2000s, maybe early 2010s. Seems like it will never happen. It's 2021 and they're more divided than ever. The only thing that might bring us all together is a climate catastrophe

Being completely honest, the passing of the mantle from the boomers to younger generations is what will turn things in a positive direction in this country. Boomers are still fighting social battles that younger people have long moved passed.

I think 2020 was the peak of politically correct SJW culture. You couldn’t go anywhere without hearing about Black Lives Matter or racism. Since then, we’ve still been in a largely PC culture, but we’ve seen every possible left-wing movement from the mid 2010s to today. I think it’s gonna die down in the mid-late 2020s, similar to what we saw in the 70s with the decline of the counterculture. Certain aspects of it will stay, such as gay marriage, but we’re probably gonna see less activism and identity politics as people get tired of it. Already we’re seeing the backlash towards aspects of it such as pop feminism, cancel culture, and “abolish the police” movement.
