For me, in terms of music, I prefer the 80s, but in terms of technology and fashion, I prefer the 90s. If I had to choose to be an 80s or 90s kid, I would choose 80s because I would be an 80s kid and a 90s teen, which means I would have experienced both decades.

I personally prefer the '90s, mostly due to the music, TV shows and movies which were released during the decade. Although, considering that my favourite genre of music (grunge/alt-rock) was popular throughout most of the '90s, I would also prefer the '90s over any other decade.

I prefer the 1990's overall.
I like the music and technology a lot more and for movies, I'd say it's pretty even for me, I have more of my favorite movies from the 80's, but I think I like a larger number of 90's films than I do 80's films.

I prefer the 1990s overall. As much as the 1980s produced some totally awesome media throughout, they were plagued by the AIDS epidemic, homophobia, and mediocre television. The 1990s were more varied and a bit more socially inclusive, even with the occasional pockets of snobbish elitism. Personal computers were also much more widespread in the 90s, which meant you could send emails and play sophisticated computer games, all without there being too much social media or other needless distractions.

Neither, but if I must choose then the 80s. The 90s was full of dance rubbish and egotistical fools with attitude problems. 90s music was boring but then I was probably too old to appreciate or understand it.

'90s was the best decade for video games so I'll go with that. But the '80s were the precursor to that golden age and shouldn't be missed either! I liked playing early '80s video games on my Atari as a kid, but those have most certainly not aged well. The late '80s PC-Engine (TurboGrafx16) games and the more complicated NES/Sega Master System games on the other hand are still classics.

I agree that the '90s were a much better decade for video games. Although, the video game industry was more consolidated and developed in the '90s, so I suppose that gives the decade one advantage over the '80s. Just out of curiosity, if you were to judge the decades based on the music, which would you prefer?
