Some parts of the late 2000s and all of the early 2010s were cheesy eras to me. I don’t mean that in a nostalgic or good way. I mean that in a terrible way. Hannah Montana, Austin and Ally, Jonas Brothers, High School Musical, Camp Rock, Jersey Shore, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead and all the crap MTV aired in those years come to my mind. The electro-pop music of the early 2010s sounds so gimmicky that it hasn’t aged well. Like even in 2016, I thought “The early 2010s were so corny.” As the early 2010s were going on, I knew that the pop culture of that era wouldn’t age well. I don’t group the late 2000s and early 2010s as one era. They are separate cultural eras in my mind. I think the early 2010s were slightly cheesier. The late 2000s still had that slight urban, rock edge to it with Timbaland and rock music still being relevant. The early 2010s had none of that edge. I wonder if people will see late 2016-mid 2018 and or late 2018-2022/23 as cheesy. Personally, I don’t see it.

Mid 2010s period for me, everything from light bulbs hanging in a coffee shop to man buns to hipster foot stomp music and font. Not a fan at all Burn in hell mid 2010s u piece of sh*t era.

Probably early 10s that was cheesy as fuck lol. Still would relive that entire era like a decillion times than I would go back to relive a year of the late 10s.

Those quirky middle-aged Pinterest mom sayings. The bacon obsession of the early-mid 2010s. Buzzfeed-era feminism. It’s all coming back to me now. God, so much of that stuff has aged terribly.
