I mean on the level of teen pop backlash in 2001. I assume electro-pop decline in 2013 comes close, although I still heard similar production styles in 2014.
Any music genres declining now similar to teen pop in 2001?

EDM in 2019.
"Happier" by Bastille was No. 6 on the 2019 Year-End Billboard Chart. I couldn't imagine it being that high on the 2020 chart or especially the 2021 chart.

GRUNGE actually lol
in 96 and 97 it started falling off fast, even the media made front of it, examples below
The start of the decline 1994 - Still mainstream ( but clear it is running out of steam and has been a marketing gimmick)
Noticeable drop off in 1995 and gets run into the fu*cking ground ( Still mainstream btw)
Media starts to poke fun at it and Gen X in 1996 ( writing on the wall/starts to FREE FALL)
and by 1997........well you know the rest lol

Dubstep in 2014
It fell off so damn hard, specially considering how big it was around 2012-2013

2000s pop rock died very quickly around 2009-2010 First couple months of 2009 was the tipping point but it had been declining rapidly before then due to Electropop being the new thing

Trap seems to be dying already. Don't see it much in the charts as in 2019 and definitely not as much as 2017.

More: 80s pop/rock 1991-1992 90s pop/rock 1999 00s Hipster 2013-14 90s-early 2000s Goth/Mall goth 2005-2006 90s-early 2000s hardcore punk/street punk/ska punk/crust punk mid 2004-2005 (some left in early 05 then it went into the myspace era in most of 2005) 90s Emo 1999-2001 (even though some left in 01 mostly early 2000s emo then) 90s Spicemania and first wave boyband craze late 1998 90s post hardcore 1998 (changed in 1998 with bands like the refused which had more Y2K sound as opposed to alt/grungy bands like jawbox/hoover/9mm orange) Alternative metal 2005-2006 ( metalcore, mid 00s screamo and technical death metal seemed to dominate the popular metal scene, as opposed to straightforward alt metal and nu metal like the latter 90s and early 2000s) Rap Metal 2006 (no longer cool)

Nu-Metal: 2004?
Songs from Linkin Park's 2003 album Meteora were still charting in the early part of that year, but it seems completely dead by the 2004-2005 school year and Linkin Park moved onto different sounds for their later albums.

Gangsta rap def 2007, when Kanye outsold 50 that week it was over, but to be fair Gangsta rap had been declining a ton in 2006. Lupe Fiasco was like the "NEW" thing at the time and made 50 cent look out dated.
