Mid or late 2000s, maybe early 2010s 2006, even then you would be hard pressed to find someone under 37 that didn't have aol aim

Funny, cause before 2006, only modern social media that existed was MySpace. Also, if we assume stats are correct, then, it was only in 2008, when at least ten percent of the population had a social media account in the US.

You would be fine if you didn't

You would be fine if you didn't I dont think myspace was a requirement. Plus, people had wifi in 2006, so I mean that should be good. Honestly, once you have an email, social media is kind of pointless. Just use the email to chat.

I miss the days where you didn't need social media, the feeling of seeing something crazy like a car crash and going home and not having 44 different camera angles of it pop up on youtube

Not having a MySpace profile was by mid 2005 was a question mark if most of your friends were on it.
Not having a social media or experimenting with social media by late 2007 to early 2008 was also bit of a why question.

What age group are we talking about? I think you guys are way early. Plenty of middle aged and older people still don't do it, and a lot of younger people have gotten fatigued.

I would still describe most of the adults like 35+ who were on it in the late 00's as early adopters. On Facebook for example it wasn't until more like 2012 maybe late 2011 that it got really stifling with the amount of people who had joined.
