Wow this is the month I turned 21! It rained on my birthday! This is exactly how I remember May 2019. The vibe felt fresh. You did a great job! I miss seeing these iconic threads. Thank u so much! I wanted it to give u the effect as if u were transported back for a brief moment !

The calm before the storm the scary thing is back in early 2019 I had watched some videos that astrologers put up saying in Q1 2020 something big was going to happen to rock the world forever ( due to planet placements) the entire year I had this info in the back of my mind, didn't think much of it, which is crazy. 2019 was def the calm before the storm, things were a little too calm in a strange way

The calm before the storm the scary thing is back in early 2019 I had watched some videos that astrologers put up saying in Q1 2020 something big was going to happen to rock the world forever ( due to planet placements) the entire year I had this info in the back of my mind, didn't think much of it, which is crazy. 2019 was def the calm before the storm, things were a little too calm in a strange way Yup. Also not just planet placements but it's also a rat year(prev rat year was 2008).

Good times, 2019 was great year
It had this atmosphere of "change" or "progress" with the Honk Kong Protests, Greta Thunberg's world voyage (she was extremely famous for a few months, and she made climate change an integral part of pop culture in 2019), foldable phones becoming a reality (back then we thought foldable phones were going to become the norm), consolidation of TikTok's power over the charts, Billie Eillish as a fresh new name in the industry, and the phenomenon that was Old Town Road.

I sensed the new vibe creeping in from September 2018 through February 2019. I think around March to May 2019 is when the new vibe became noticeable. I even made a thread in spring 2019 to the effect of "the energy feels different"

Fun Fact about this time period, the Box Office was at the highest levels ever! I wouldn't be surprised if 2019 ends up being the peak for the box office forever Covid was such a massive blow to cinema, and since 2020 we've seen the rise of straight-to-streaming movies No doubt the movie industry will recover but I don't it will ever go back to how it was pre-2020
