Fun Fact about this time period, the Box Office was at the highest levels ever! I wouldn't be surprised if 2019 ends up being the peak for the box office forever Covid was such a massive blow to cinema, and since 2020 we've seen the rise of straight-to-streaming movies No doubt the movie industry will recover but I don't it will ever go back to how it was pre-2020 not to mention every month a heavy hitter came out of the box office

2018 is most stereotypically late 2010s, but 2019 will always be the peak of the late 2010s to me. 2019 is basically what people wanted 2018 to be

2019 is basically what people wanted 2018 to be Exactly. I remember people hyping up 2018 to be the new 2008. Q1-Q3 2018 was pretty dry pop culturally. I liked Q4 2018 better than Q1-Q3 2018. 2019 is my favorite 2010s year and out of the late 2010s. We better not commit the same error again Don't hype up 2029 lol

2019 also felt vivid if that makes sense ? Esp May Yes that makes sense. 2019 felt vivid, more so than 2017, 2018 and 2020. Funny you mention May 2019 because that’s my birthday month. April and May 2019 felt final, end of an era, last day of school, screwing around vibe. I loved the vibe of 2019. 2019 was refreshing compared to 2018. I couldn’t wait for 2018 to end. I was happy when December came that year. One thing good about 2018 was that Democrats seized back some control so Trump would have a harder time passing his stupid discriminative laws. I enjoyed all of 2019. I was sad when December 2019 came. I didn’t want 2019 to end. I didn’t want to make it to 2020 and didn’t want 2020 to come. I don’t know why but something didn’t sit well with me in December 2019. I had a bad feeling about 2020. If it wasn’t for COVID, then we may have entered early 2020s culture sooner instead of being in a transition. the fake 2020s era for sure

Q4 2018 through Q1 2020 could be seen as the proto 2020 vision era, fake early 2020s era, E-Boy/E-Girl era and or a combination of those names. Not sure if you were here in 2019 but I made a thread that spring to the effect of " something in the air feels different/shift"
