Yeah I mean everyone bitched non stop in the 2010s almost every year how 7/10 superhero movies were either a let down, tarnished the reputation of the franchise, average or epic fail. I’m beginning to think superhero films outside of the 80s-start of mid 00s in general we’re also good around 2008-2011 ex iron man, watchmen, the dark knight were a good and then hopefully from 2019 to the 2020s will be like massive upgrade like it’s already showing movies like joker and Spider-Man which massacre most typical 2010s films . Most of the 2010s will be seen as a cheesy era for annoying and pretentious corporate superhero movies. Joker came out in 2019 and was mostly a hit in 2019 The first tom holland spider man movie came out in 2017 ffs And lets not forget into the spider-verse Yeah I think 2019 is that odd exception, not just joker but a few others from that year are some of the best films of the decade and like blueprint for the next and not just superhero films. I see it like the starting point hopefully for the new decade, honestly I think movies in the mid to late 2010s were just starting to move in that direction even if they weren't there, I think the force awakens is underrated and mad max were good examples of taking hyper-realism and more unique and personal feel to a more interesting place, but those films had some issues. There are always good movies being made but very late 00s to around 10 maybe 11 or 12 was a really good period and then 2019 if we are talking about star quality films right after each other imo.

It was also a time when young guys start to grow their hair out and turn it into perms, curtains, and shaggy hair because of TikTok while the fade undercut started to go out of style.

It was easily the best animated film of the decade, and one of the best superhero films too. With the sequels coming out soon, as well as Spider-Man now being the new big superhero, and animated movies taking influence such as Mitchell and the Machines, I think this movie will be seen as moving us into the 2020s era of film, in much the same way Iron Man moved us into the 2010s.

Pixar movies like Luca and Turning Red are 2020s style animation.
