I hate comparing previous decade years with another, but 2007 and 2008 is the only quick example I can think of. Does not mean the years felt the same, but rather the flow of them.

Of course these never exact measurements or meant to be taken strictly, lol, just a general view...refined from previous which was a bit off:
Imo:
Pre 2010s:
2003:1-2% 2004:4% 2005:4% 2006:6% 2007:6% 2008-2009:8-12%
2010s:
late 2009:65% 2010:80% 2011:93% 2012:95% 2013:97% 2014:98% 2015:100% 2016:99% 2017:99% 2018:97% 2019:96%
2020s:
2020:94% 2021:88-91%

Was it because of the end of the recession?

Decadeology at its finest. This board is filled with Decadeology. Discussion of past decades and nostaglia that is constructive and elaborate = not decadeology. Unnecessarily comparing two or more years without any basis for discussion = decadeology.

This board is filled with Decadeology. Discussion of past decades and nostaglia that is constructive and elaborate = not decadeology. Discussion that involves unnecessarily comparing two or more years without any basis for discussion = decadeology. Go look at the thread on it. The examples given for Decadeology are posted here constantly like multiple times a week. Maybe just maybe the mods are more lax on it now. And if you don't like the post, don't click on it. Go heckle someone else.
