I’d say 2011 with Harry Potter 7, Final Destination 5, Spy Kids 4.

I’d say 2011 with Harry Potter 7, Final Destination 5, Spy Kids 4. Lots of classic 2000s trilogies slowly ended across the early 2010s but many remained, 2011 does stick out. Other classic 2000s films ended in 2003-2006 (star wars, kill bill, lord of the rings, matrix, american pie, underworld, x-men and then spiderman in 07) On the other hand a huge chunk just keep going in the 2010s, some ended in the early part or later, came back after a while or kept going. - Iron Man - Dark Knight - Numerous superhero, action and horror movie series - 80s remake films ex. transformers and g.i joe - Cars - Oceans Series - Bourne Identity Series - Fast and Furious - XXX (came back after a while) - Scary movie series - Saw series (took a break but came back) - Ring (took a break but came back) - Parody movies ex. Disaster movie/Superhero movie to Superfast (2015)
