2010s-present tech feel like an extension of late 2000s tech

-7th generation gaming consoles like Xbox 360 and PS3 came out in Novembers 2005 and 2006 respectively. 8th and 9th generation gaming consoles feel like software upgrades of 7th generation gaming, nothing new besides different or modern interface that does the same stuff and some added security layers.
-iPhones came out in 2007. Apple has been beefing up them since.
-Smartphones were around in the late 2000s. All the 2010s did was replace physical keyboards with virtual ones.
-Late 2000s was already full blown social media era. The 2010s made it worse.
