Bright - Pop culture(esp music) was very upbeat and there was some optimism for the recovery of the great recession as well as politically since there was a very progressive atmosphere at the time because of Obama. Some people thought we completely moved past race.
Digital - Tech was shifting rapidly with smartphones and tablets becoming mainstream. Windows 7 and Google Chrome. HD became the norm. HD sound processing was perfected in this era. The most common form of music is electronic with autotune.

The political tension from the previous years died down a little but the coronarmageddon hadn't reignited the political division and darkness yet.
