Ratings for TV shows don't lie, and this was before everything in 2010s was moved to all online streaming

Not a hot take, everyone thinks the late 2000s or early 2010s were the death of monoculture

Not a hot take, everyone thinks the late 2000s or early 2010s were the death of monoculture I don't think the 2010s was the death of mono culture at all, it's just that the music sales and Tv show ratings of the 2000s was bigger, things also felt more on a grander scale, movies may have had bigger box office gates, but 2010s ratings prior to Netflix everything was the shits.

Revisionist history that is confusing other viewers of this site, this is exactly why your opinions can't be trusted on here/

It's DVD mail service was, popular enough to be featured in Super Bowl 2007's commercial break. You don't even know what you are talking about at all.

The 2000s were the last full decade and to some extent, the early 2010s, monoculture was still huge. Back then, no one could escape pop culture, the latest movies, music, TV shows, gaming, fashion trends. It was in our faces. I don't think that could be said about the mid or late 2010s to now.

As for music the 2000s def had the bigger monoculture , shows like TRL and 106 & Park were the avengers endgame of music, anyone that says otherwise was not born or has no memory of the early 2000s because thats all anyone would talk about at school lol
