- Wrapping up of many iconic 2010s cultural products or at the least the last installment until many years later. Avengers endgame, Star wars, Game of thrones, Big bang theory, etc.
- A tease of various new 2020s culture, trends and characters. I'm not just talking about new artists like lil nas x and billie eilish. Politically Greta Thunberg entered the world stage in late 2019.
- Ends on a lighthearted note after darker years before it as political tensions have died down(like how the last act of a TV season is dark and tense and then there is a sense of relief once the big bad is defeated).
- A sneak peak of the big bad of the 20s at the end of the year or "episode" with the COVID-19 outbreak in wuhan.
