This was the year of the Harlem Shake, and we used Facebook and YouTube to share funny clips around. Things Tik Tok kids nowadays would find prehistoric

High school atmosphere photos or videos always seem much more dated than they are I agree about the videos particularly, I suspect it's the quality. Even videos from the older model iphones have a fairly dated quality to them, digital point and shoot videos especially do.

It's not only that, it's the clothing as well. Clothes seem to be aging in a different way than they used to, it's weird. Maybe because we're used to so many styles now. I don't think there's a lot from 2013 that if you just saw some random person wearing would stick out that bad or strike you as that old. The trendiest things mostly. But if you see the collection of everyone wearing them it can get jarring.

Yeah, if I walk past a 30 year old woman still dressing like its 2013, I would call that "out of style", but it's not like she's from a different planet. But if you see everyone all wearing the trendy 2013 outfits at the same time, that's a bit unsettling in today's perspective; unless it's a nostalgic gathering. That's the vibe I'm getting while watching videos from 2013, pretty much the outfits make the period look out worldly as heck from a 2022 perspective.
