I was saving up for chrono trigger lol. I felt sorry for the people I knew who got one, it's probably the worst gift you could get. how was that game I would always see it at Blockbuster Chrono trigger was one of the best RPG on the snes next to earthbound, secret of mana, final fantasy II and zelda. It's pretty easy and very playable until you reach the final boss which took ages to beat. For warioland, only played it for a short time, it felt like a typical platformer that could be released on a regular gameboy but with a few pseudo 3d parts that resembled something like mode 7 like graphics in section sections, which you would see in Mario Kart, Contra and F-zero, I think the 3d thing wasn't really put into proper effect on the virtual boy, even if it was capable.

I should have checked it out I think it was on the snes mini, I'm sure it can be downloaded. Lots of older rpgs haven't aged well but it still stands up, I played through it a few years ago again. Earthbound is another one worth replaying, its too expensive to buy as is right now. I have a feeling they will re-release virtual boy like the playstation, nes, genesis mini one day lol, probably without cheesy piece or anything to cause eye problems, I wouldn't mind buying it if just to see what its like just out of curiosity, even if is highly likely it will still suck lol. Something like this:

that would def sell but Nintendo would be afraid of selling a system noted to be a failure I think they did turbografx mini (or in the process of) which in a way was a failed system even though it lasted longer, as long as they get rid of the eye problem and stand issue, I think it could be made in a limited release in a more modern way just to experience the games even if they aren't the greatest ever. I kinda want to try them now lol.

There is also this shooter game that looks okay but it would be interesting to just try most of them out.

I know. There is also this shooter game that looks okay but it would be interesting to just try most of them out. I wonder if any stores near me (vintage video games) have one set up I would look for them at flea markets or eBay or local listings. Most places selling old school games will look for the highest prices on eBay to base the prices on and then claim it’s the rent. There are some exceptions and some places with really good deals though but that’s been the trend since the mid 2010s.

The Virtual Boy came out the same year the Sega Saturn and PlayStation came out. Both FAR more groundbreaking and revolutionary consoles compared to the Virtual Boy. That was the real hot shit. If you wanted to have your mind blown in 1995, I would say instead of wasting your money on the Virtual Boy, get a PlayStation, and buy Wipeout.
Now THIS was fucking mindblowing and advanced. Easily my favorite game of '95.

1995 had a similar situation in the tech industry. Microsoft Bob was released that year as a replacement for the traditional desktop environment. Its familiar home aesthetic and virtual assistant were intended to make it easy to use for newcomers to computers. However, that same year, Microsoft released Windows 95. It was also intended to make computers easy to use, but whereas Microsoft Bob was a flop and is today considered one of the worst tech products of all time, Windows 95 revolutionized desktop computing and remains the standard for the Windows operating system to this very day.
