I can't think of many, but this song comes to mind as an obvious one (from 2017):

Lots of 2010s era rock that ISN’T Imagine Dragons or shitty hipster indie trash sounds 2000s. For example, here’s the theme song for Sonic Forces, Fist Bump
This song sounds 2000s as fuck, but it’s from a 2017 video game. Perhaps not surprising, given it features the vocalist of Hoobastank. I know this isn’t a chart hit or anything like that, but I wanted to feature it anyway.

Tonight Tonight sounds early 2010s as hell to me. Remember when I was talking about the teen pop revival of that era and how cheesy it was? Well, this song is a prime example. The fact it has guitars doesn’t make it 2000s sounding honestly.

Took a sample, and I think Just A Dream is probably the most legitimately 2000s sounding of the bunch, like hot damn.

It’s also very lighthearted and cheesy. The 2000s was the decade of Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, American Idiot-era Green Day, and Three Days Grace. Of course if it was a stereotypical 2000s rock song it would be super dark and edgy and have lyrics about pain and depression. This is the complete opposite LMAO

I think the only 2000s songs you could really compare Tonight Tonight to would be cheesy Disney pop rock like Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers, and Avril Lavigne’s The Best Damn Thing album.

Carry out by leaps and bounds. Then again, it was released at the very very start of the decade and recorded in 2009.

C'mon yall, don't post stuff from the early 2010s. That is cheating. Well the song I posted was from a 2017 game. And it could easily pass for a mid-2000s anime/cartoon theme song. But if we’re talking songs made just to be songs, well, just go on Sirius XM Octane. It’s literally impossible to tell the difference between 00s and 10s songs because they sound pretty much the same. This is true even for the newer bands.

Sounds like as a throwback to mid-00s GoGo R&B like "1 Thing" or "Get Right". In 2015, this did not pay out though, as it peaked very early on and fell down incredibly quickly from the charts. Probably one of her biggest flops and she even cancelled the album around it.

I feel like a song like this would've been a number 1 hit song in 2022, and not just because of 2000s nostalgia or Ariana Grande's popularity.
