I'd say 2014 would be the best year but 2017 had more options to buy I guess. 2012 and 2016 are honorable mentions. 2013 was the worst year to buy groceries because too many healthy stuff.

2019 because it was the last time to enjoy pre-pandemic grocery shopping. That one is also the best years for grocery shopping. Everyone knows that 2019 is objectively the last good year for groceries. We are currently in the dark ages of grocery shipping 😡

Buying groceries started to suck in late 2013 IMO. I’d say by early 2018, it officially sucked to buy groceries.
