Can be either because of pop culture or personal reasons.
For me it's:
2005-2006 2006-2007 2007-2008 2010-2011 2012-2013 2013-2014 2018-2019

I'm surprised you like that year so much given your disliking for the 2010s. I wasn't a fan though, mostly because the pop culture was too bland and wholesome. And people were obsessed with selfies.

I'm surprised you like that year so much given your disliking for the 2010s. I wasn't a fan though, mostly because the pop culture was too bland and wholesome. And people were obsessed with selfies. I also mentioned it could be for personal reasons. The pop culture was shitty as per usual for a 10s year but this was literally the best time of my life personally. Also things had changed a lot since the beginning of 2013 so pop culture at least felt fresh at the time even if it wasn't necessarily good. The PS4/Xbox One came out. Even if I didn't have a PS4 then it was still exciting seeing the launch of 8th gen. Pokemonn X and Y came out late 2013 and that game was what I lived for back then. I checked google every day for news on the game and begged my mom for a 3DS all summer to play it. So that is a big part of why I am so fond of that school year. I also peaked in popularity at school and girls were constantly checking me out. So much shit, I also got my first smartphones in jan 2014. I fucking loved this school year, my gosh i'm getting chills just thinking about it. I wish I could go back.

As for my most nostalgic school year? Easy: 2004-2005. Great video games, great movies, YouTube launched, and the peak of Cartoon Network.

2016-2017, i had more friends that school year than ever. literally my phone was blowing up every second from snapchat/instagram notifications. when we got to high school a lot of us just stopped talking as much even tho we went to the same school. 2017-2018 (freshman year) was rough. plus like half of my friends were class of 2022 so it sucked not having them at school with me
