IDK but one of the quintessential and most popular songs from the 80s is Purple Rain. And one of the most popular songs from the 60s is Here Comes the Sun. And one of the most popular disco groups from the 70s was KC and the Sunshine Band.
So my overall perception is that the 60s and 70s are very warm, summery, daytime, sunny decades, whilst the 80s is a nighttime, rainy, cold kind of decade, if that makes sense.
