Years you STOPPED playing each Video Game system

Atari 7800 - 1991 or 1992:

The last time I remember playing it was a game called Tank Commando at my friends house who couldn't afford or nes or genesis.  

Commodore 64 - 1992

The last games I remember playing were Simpsons Arcade game and Robocop and then it stopped working one day and we just threw it out. My dad got his in the early 80s but he gave it to me around 1990, it was the first computer I used, they were still making a few games in the early 90s.

Amiga 500 - 1993-1994

Brother game me his Amiga 500 computer when PCs killed commodore in the early 90s. The last game I remember palying on it was called Wizball and the graphics look great but I couldn't figure out anything. I ignored because Snes and Genesis were better at the time and it was hard to find games, I think it was bigger in europe. 

Nes - Summer 1995

Stopping playing for good around Summer 1995 after owning and playing it around 6 years prior even while owning a snes and genesis.  I rarely bought new nes games past 1993. Put all my games in the basement at some point in late 1995. Video stores pretty much removed their rentable Nes games out in in 1995 and others did in 1996.  Last year EB had a few nes games on clearance games was in 1995. 

Dos 486 PC - 1997-1998

Taking up too much space, loud fan squeaks, almost all new games didn't need dos and there were issues with sound or graphics for a lot of games after 96. 

Snes - Spring and Summer 1997

Gaming was mostly on an N64. Would still revisit a RPG games from earlier I never finished but it was mostly gathering dust even though a few games like were coming out, Snes was mostly gone. 

N64 - 2001

N64 mostly weaksauce all throughout 2000 and 2001 with rare exceptions like tony hawk pro skater and paper mario and zelda 2. I found it boring and was enjoying the PS1 for the most part in those years.  

Dreamcast - 2003

At my friends place who nearly had every game. 

Gamecube - 2005

I quit gaming for a whikle in 2005 and found 2005-2006 to be bland period for gamecube

Wii - 2014 

I was in the process of getting hidden gems and competing games so I played it all the way to 2014. 


Others:

Rich kid friend had a Turbo Grafx 16 I tried once in 1992 and he also had a Power Glove which I tried in 1991

3DO - My older cousin had a 3DO I tried a few times in 1995, that was last year until I bought one in 2009. 

Original Gameboy - Last time I held an original aging white gameboy was in 1998-1999 until later

Gameboy Pocket - 2000 - I kept it because I preferred it to the color. 

Gameboy Color - 2002

PS1 - Last time I played it was in 2002 until later

Genesis - Late 1996 was the last time I played and the last 3 games were Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, boogerman and earthworm jim 2, until I picked it up later in the 2000s.

GBA - 2005 I quit gaming with the GBA with the Gamecube and went cold turkey

I know people who stopped playing modern games in the late 2000s, as they were burnt out by all the military shooters that were coming out during that time. But they still played old video games from the 90s.
