* What would you consider to be the worst town in Tasmania outside of Hobart? Is Hobart the worst city in Tasmania?

* What would you consider to be the worst town in Tasmania outside of Hobart? Is Hobart the worst city in Tasmania? I just meant as in what is the worst town in Tasmania if any of the suburbs in Hobart itself weren't included, I probably could have worded it better. Hobart as a city is nice overall, but it does have one or two suburbs which aren't exactly places you would want to live.

I have a couple of questions. * What is the job situation like in Hobart and Tasmania in general? Are there generally a lot of jobs on offer or are they hard to come by? I'm just curious, because Wollongong as you know is slightly larger than Hobart and the job situation up here has never been too good, a lot of people have to actually travel up to Sydney each day due to there not being enough jobs locally. I would love to live in Tasmania one day, but getting a job down there might be next to impossible (especially with being a 'mainlander'). * What would you consider to be the worst town in Tasmania outside of Hobart? NP. Sorry for the late response. I would say fairly similar to an extent. Not a lot on offer (more evident currently), key difference being though that a fair proportion of employment comes from the states 'bread and butter' tourism and hospitality industries down here. Naturally, quite a lot of Tasmanians move to Melbourne for greater opportunities in either studies or in the workforce. I have a few friends who have done exactly this, and I even moved to Melbourne for a few years at one point for this reason. Outside of Hobart? That's a tough one. There's quite a few on that list!

Ah okay, that's interesting to know. It doesn't sound as bad as what I pictured it as being. Tbh, I haven't really looked into it much beyond doing a quick search on Seek once, but at least by the sound of things it wouldn't be too dissimilar to what it is like up here in Wollongong. Lol, would Ulverstone be near the top of the list? It would be on mine.

Yes. Keep guessing if you like. I know you've said before that you don't particularly like Devonport either, so, Devonport?
