What do you think of Sonic the Hedgehog? Do you like any Sonic games? Sonic? Nostalgia overload! 😁 Sonic was one of the first games I played and got me into video gaming. Some me of my favourite entries into the long catalogue; Sonic the Hedgehog (the original on Sega Master System) Followed by Sonic Advance, Adventure, Colors and Generations - generations was the 20th anniversary release with levels spanning his entire gaming career.

Haha, I had a feeling that you were a fan of Sonic. Interesting to hear that it was one of the first games that got you into video gaming! If you had to pick a favourite between Mario and Sonic, which would you pick and why?

Yup. It's probably because I've mentioned it before lol. 😜
Wow. That's a tough one. 🤔 You know, although there's plenty of nostalgia with the Sonic games and was in a way basically introduced me to the gaming medium, most of the Mario games are really quite memorable for me. I probably grew up just that bit more with the Nintendo systems than the Sega ones on the whole, hence I played far more of Nintendo's leading title character in Mario. So in short I'd say Mario would win this battle.

If you haven't, it's worth checking out.

I just thought I'd ask, because I've traveled through the town on a number of occasions (my Nanna and Uncle used to live there) and since it is only a small, isolated town on the North-West coast of Tasmania, I wasn't sure if it would have been somewhere that you would have visited before. Anyway, it's interesting to hear that you have been to Waratah before. It's probably no different to when you went there all those years ago.

Ha, only another 9 pages to go. Okay, here's another one. If you had to choose which city you would prefer to live in out of Devonport and Burnie, which one would you pick and why?

Time to pick up the pace lol. Haven’t travelled up North for years, but Burnie. Simple reason as I found there to be way more bogans in Devonport itself as opposed to Burnie (not Nowra but bad enough! ) and the city was a bit unappealing. To add, I think Burnie is the nicer more scenic place to live if I had to pick.

There are some parts of Devonport which look a bit rough (particularly the suburb of East Devonport, which is where the Spirit of Tasmania docks), but like you mentioned, it's not so bad in that it should be avoided at all costs. I do think Devonport is a nice place overall and it's a city which I could easily live in, although it wouldn't be my first choice to live if I were to move down to Tasmania. This will be my last question for now (@zampakid might have to take over the asking duties ) as I have to get up early in the morning. I'm not sure if I've asked this before or not, but what's the furthest point south in Tasmania that you have been to? For me personally, Geeveston is the furthest point south I have traveled to.

It’s a little hard to judge seeing as I haven’t been to either northern cities for many years, but Devonport might be a much nicer place these days unlike what it was back then. On my last visit however I found Burnie aesthetically more appealing. Haha, that’s alright. I will be logging off soon so @zampakid doesn’t have to be put out. Geeveston? That’s a nice little town. How did you find it? For me, furthest south is when I went to Bruny Island on a family holiday when I was around 10 (I’d have to pull out the old photo album to be exact here but it was about then from memory).

It was nice! We only passed through the town to go to the Hartz Mountains National Park (so we didn't actually stop in Geeveston), but from what I saw of the town, it seemed like a nice little place. The Huon Valley in general though is a beautiful area. I'd love to check out more of the Huon Valley and Southern Tasmania sometime in the future, as I only went down there briefly during my January 2017 trip. Ah okay. Yeah, Bruny Island is a nice place as well. Are there any areas/regions of Tasmania which you haven't traveled to before (e.g the North-East coast of Tasmania) ?
