It's not like Twitter isn't already filled with conspiracy theorists anyway. If a right-wing takeover occurs, it's not going to make Twitter less crazy but it will at least make it so people don't get canceled and told to delete their accounts all because they accidentally make an offensive joke. That's what I want more than anything. It's not even like right-wing commentators online talk about how dumb minorities are and whatnot. It's more things like opposing political correctness and cancel culture. The alt-right may be bigoted, but they aren't stupid. They know just being blunt about their views won't convince people. IDEALLY I'd like for Twitter (and the internet in general) to be politically incorrect but also open-minded and leave politics out of pop culture. And for people to be free to post almost anything, be who they want to be, without getting ostracized and scrutinized just for being themselves and having unpopular opinions. THAT is the culture I want more than anything. It's what the internet was like back in the 2000s before modern internet drama and political polarization was a thing. All I want for social media is to get rid of hyper-politics. In my honest opinion, the world would be a better place without Twitter lol. What I also want, more than anything now, is this entire modern culture of scandals and controversy to just fucking end already. It's because people can't mind their goddamn business. People need to know EVERYTHING about you if you're even remotely a person of interest to them, and if ONE FUCKING THING doesn't match, they flip their shit. It's a crazy world and it's driving me insane. For the record, we had this problem during the 2000s too with all the trashy tabloids and scandals like the Britney Spears meltdown. What I REALLY want back honestly is the introverted, individualistic, apathetic attitude of the Gen X 90s, when nobody gave a shit about what celebrities did, people just bought things because they liked them and not what a business supposedly believes in or any supposed "ethics" (for the record, it doesn't matter how many woke ads a company airs, the company doesn't really give a shit about you unless you buy their products), and instead of people flipping their shit whenever a famous figure is accused of something, they instead ignore it because they know its a first world problem, and instead just head back to playing video games and watching music videos. That's not to say people didn't care about social causes at all, but rather that they knew Americans actually had it pretty good and that society could be MUCH worse, so just make the most of life instead of complaining about it.

As much as we blame Tumblr for introducing the internet to hyper-PC culture and woke-scolds, we also need to blame 4chan for bringing their extreme cynicism, trolling antics, and over-the-top edgy attitudes to the internet. I like some of their memes but I don’t like the people there.

Granted, you still get made fun of and trolled, and there is a lot of alt-right edginess, but because people aren't retweeting you and treating you like fucking Satan, plus the fact it's generally not a website people take seriously, it just doesn't feel as bad as getting harassed by mobs on Twitter or any other modern social media platform. Personally, I would much rather take 4chan over Twitter/Tumblr any day of the week, since I prefer a more laid-back, politically incorrect, uncorporatized, and silly platform like 4chan over the overly serious, politically correct, strict, and ad-infested nature of Twitter. For me, the kinds of right-wing websites that bother me are all the hyper-political conspiracy theory filled ones like Gab and BitChute. Those websites are not only just as serious as Twitter, but they also are the primary spreaders of conspiracy theorists and general right-wing nonsense. The kind of "if you don't support Trump and literally everything he does you can't hang out with us" mindset. 4chan to me is more edgy nihilist libertarian than it is outright alt-right. Reddit used to be that way in the first half of the 2010s.

Sometimes it’s hard to tell which one are ironic LARPers or legit nazis. There is a reason why that particular board is considered a containment board but sadly their BS leaked into other boards.

If we're talking Nazi-infested sites, there's sites like The Daily Stormer that are geared toward far-right white supremacists. 4chan is all about anonymity, which basically results in a sort of "anti-cancel culture" mindset, if that makes sense. Personally, I prefer it over mainstream social media, but it's clearly not perfect as you mentioned. You just have to take the good with the bad. At least nobody's trying to be an overly serious whiny white knight telling people what they should and shouldn't do.

I enjoy reading those. Still many deplorable people come from there like the NZ mosque shooter. 8chan is a thousand times worse than it’s predecessor because of pedos.

I can agree with 8chan being way worse. People are always like “OMG [insert website here] is bad because pedos”, but you want a REALLY bad website that not only does nothing about them, but also lets them get away with it, 8chan. 4chan has produced some shitty people, but then so has YouTube with Logan and Jake Paul. Twitter was Trump’s main platform and many horrible SJWs like Zoe Quinn also use Twitter extensively. The only reason 4chan has seemingly produced so many deplorables is down back to the absence of cancel culture on the site. Nobody gets called out for anything and as much as I find that refreshing that people are allowed to speak their minds about things, there is a line that gets crossed if we’re talking people committing actual crimes and acts of violence. You know: murder, rape, assault. It’s more speech being policed that I’m against. I still think people should be held accountable for genuinely evil actions.

A right wing takeover is not any better though. I honestly don't care what the fuck happens so long as cancel culture dies. If a right-wing takeover occurs, it's guaranteed to happen, and I'm all for it. Yes... Because right wingers are know for not cancelling anyone ever

Heck, even the Nazis cancelled and boycott Jewish businesses during their rise. It’s not only the left doing the cancelling that’s for sure 😏

It’s not only the left doing the cancelling that’s for sure 😏 Comparing regular conservatives to Nazis though just doesn’t make sense since if anything, part of what makes America “the greatest country in the world” to them is the fact we defeated the Nazis in World War II. You aren’t wrong in your points either. In fact, during the 80s, 90s, and 00s, it was liberals who were seen as defenders of free speech, rather than conservatives. Though truthfully, I think neither side was ever truly libertarian and/or open-minded. Especially liberals “oh look at me I’m a liberal and everyone who isn’t is a closed-minded bigot”. No shut the fuck up. You know who the problem really is? The media. They tell us what to think and what is considered morally correct. If we don’t buy into their shit, we can put the culture wars to rest, and HOPEFULLY live in a society where people can speak their minds, all information is free, and there exists no political correctness, no religious fundamentalism, none of that.

I know conservatives are not the same as the nazis. All I’m just pointing out the general spectrum of the right, whether it be conservative(center-right) or nazis(extreme right), are not immune to cancelling other people and things. Look up places like Gab and Parler, which are obvious echo chambers for the right and literally canceling so many things lol. I do agree that the online left are stuck in their own world and expect people to think like them. I think we should have free speech but that doesn’t mean people can’t call out bigotry or educate the ignorant. And certainly no longer becomes free speech when a person promotes threats and violence to another person or a group of people.

It's just getting worse with the amber heard and elon musk news out recently. I wonder what the outcome will be, it doesn't seem very good.
