About an hour ago, I was eating lunch and The Ellen Show happened to be on. Anyway, they had a special guest appear at the end of the show and it was a 12-year-old boy, but his face was completely covered in make-up. I couldn't believe it. He was actually a make-up designer and he had his own range of cosmetics. In fact, when I first saw him appear on the show, I thought he was a girl. I know people who appear on TV have to wear make-up anyway, but he had eyeliner on, mascara and other makeup cosmetics on.
I'm sorry, but I don't think it's appropriate for a 12-year-old boy to be wearing make-up, especially that much. I know not everyone identifies with their own gender, but I believe it only does more harm to him than good. For starters, he would be viewed as being a social outcast, as the majority of males don't wear make-up. Kids at school probably pick on him, because he even acknowledged that he wears make-up in casual situations.
What are your thoughts on it? Is it acceptable for males to wear make-up, especially someone who is that young?

Yes, anyone of any age and gender can wear makeup. I think it is cool and unique that he likes it. Who cares what others think? If he was brave enough to wear makeup on a show where thousands of people are watching, then it's safe to assume that he doesn't care what others think.

I don't see a problem with it. I know who you're talking about. He does his makeup very well, better than me and I'm a girl! If a male wants to wear makeup, more power to them.

I'm scared of (the idea of) guys wearing make up. I don't want it to become so common that guys are basically forced to do it if they want to look decent.
If that kid wants to wear it though then more power to him.

I would have to disagree, it's not as if there's an assigned gender for makeup and clearly what other people think doesn't bother this kid so I think if that's what he likes then it's completly fine. (Although, I also wouldn't want it becoming a common thing to do)

Some men really suit make up.
