2010 has had a cult following for a while now. The year had a “new lease on life” type vibe. A refreshing year.

No it didn’t. It was easily the best year of the 2010s as far as being a laidback, chill, and apolitical year. It was also a great year for video games and still my favorite year of the decade for movies.

Boy, do I wish for one moment to go back and play on my Wii and watch then-new shows like Adventure Time and Regular Show. *sighs*

I've always liked 2010 as a year, but I've only started to feel nostalgic for it within the past six months or so. I can definitely see it (and the early '10s in general) becoming ripe for nostalgia in several years time. It was a great time for a lot of people, and we really haven't had a cultural era as upbeat or optimistic as the early 2010s since.

Yeah "refreshing" is a good word for it. Because it had kind of a lowkey vibe I think that's why it hadn't been talked about a lot (outside these circles), but that's also exactly why we may see it coming back.

2010 was an awful year along with the rest of the early 2010s... Things only started to get a little better in 2013.

The games in 2010 were not that bad ( despite me taking a break from gaming) the movies that came out like Toy Story 3 and Inception were really good, I didn't even mind Nick and it's endless reruns of Victorious at the time lol

It really was fun, when I was at E! news we had a water slide outside installed in May 2010 lol we would always play on it, mysteriously when late 2012 rolled around the location got a violation and the water slide was removed.

Yeah we most likely are going to see it put in the "big 5" of years, aka 2002,2005,2004,1997,2008

2010 was decent year. Definitely wasn't stereotypical as other 2010s years. It wasn't perfect but less factory than 2011 and a bit more developed and interesting than late 2009.

There wasn’t an abundance of superhero movies yet, Pixar and Dreamworks were still making great movies, and Harry Potter had its epic finale. The only drawback was Twilight was still a thing in 2010. But it seemed more creative than the rest of the decade, that’s for damn sure. The games were also great. I liked Fallout: New Vegas, Halo Reach, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Call of Duty Black Ops, and Mass Effect 2.
