If you don't mind me asking, is it your friends who tell you that you should get a new hobby? If that's the case, they should respect your interests and mind their own business. I don't really talk to my family & friends about my interest in the media, to be honest. My parents and a few of my friends know that I am interested in it, but I just figure that they wouldn't be interested in knowing too much about it anyway. When I told my friends about my YouTube channel and how I am interested in the media, they were surprised that I was interested in it as a hobby, but it didn't really worry them at all. Yes, only one, the rest are fine. All my friends know that I'm interested in the media as VHS tapes are all over the place in my room and they always like information about the media which is nice. However, I'm not one to talk about it all the time with them. Don't get me wrong, the majority don't care as the all have their own hobbies, however when I do talk about it he sometimes just shuts off and I stop talking. I'm mentally scared of what I say to him because I'm scared he is going to take it the wrong way and "hate me" for it, which has happened before. When I don't say anything that gets him angry too. Last year (mid July, and still now) I would judge me day based on how well the day want with him. Also his friend whom I am not really close with is hanging out with him more often because he can be rude hangs out with the rest of them. How long have you been friends with this guy for? If he hasn't been a close friend of yours for some amount of time, I really wouldn't bother with him as he hardly sounds like much of a friend to you. I mean if it's gotten to the point where your spending so much time and completely determining how your day went and your feelings based on how it went with him it's not worth it.

Another thing that really annoys me. Why do people choose to sit in their car with the ignition still on? I'm waiting in a car park at the moment and a stupid woman in the car next to me has had her car ignition on for almost 20 minutes! If you're not going anywhere, turn it off1 What about when people (even though there's plenty of parking spaces elsewhere in the large shopping centre car park etc) park awkwardly right next to you. This one gets to me at times. I mean, I think to myself, you had plenty of frickin’ spaces but chose to park there!!

When somebody leaves a MASSIVE scratch on the car and doesn't even leave a note to admit they've done it...

When somebody leaves a MASSIVE scratch on the car and doesn't even leave a note to admit they've done it... Yep. DEFINITELY! Fair enough if it wasn’t done intentionally, but the least the culprit should do is leave a note or something. Those types of people are a gutless wonder.

People who constantly slam doors. We have this heavy door at school and everyone lets it go and the door pump is on really tight so it shuts right behind you fast.. so you need to hold it until its close to the closing point and everyone forgets about it (mainly the yr 7's) and it slams so loud and the half the building vibrates! It scares the S**t out of everyone too!

Especially when I'm trying to concentrate on something and it gets me triggered whenever my mum or dad slams the hallway door since my bedroom is right by the hallway door.

The kids who stand in the middle of the hallway almost blocking out everyone. Seriously, do you not realize that there are people trying to attend class on time?! This isn't an outdoor playground. Move out of the way.
People who do not flush the toilet. Have you been potty trained correctly or are you just too lazy to clean up after yourself? Last time I checked, there was a toilet flush lever that you use to flush your crap.
Those who talk during movies. Unless your pet or something is dying or an apocalypse is happening, we couldn't care less.
I have a lot more pet peeves, but these are just the ones that came at the top of my head.

Move out of the way. That used to really annoy me when I was in High School as well. What made it even worse, was that the corridors/hallways at my High School weren't very wide and it made it even harder to get around people. That's something which really disgusts me. How can people be so unhygienic? It's horrible.

I hated it when the hallways were really busy and two people walking in opposite directions would stop and start talking to eachother and they expect you to be the one to move

* People you come across out in public. I hate how so many people act like "sheep". They follow what everyone else is doing and never do their own thing. It's like when you go to a beach and see heaps of people all crammed into a small space on the beach, even though the beach is several kilometres long. * Husbands who are afraid to speak up and always do what their wife demands them to do. I hate how a lot of men say that their wife is "their boss". What a load of bull.
