Old Dashcam/Timelapse video, Shellharbour to Kiama on January 3, 2011. This was recorded a couple of years before I got my P's and a proper dashcam, so this method of Dashcam/Timelapse is a definite no-no.

I went for a drive up to Narellan/Oran Park today, so i'm going to upload a few dashcam recordings from my trip sometime tomorrow.

This might interest you longaotian; it's a dashcam recording I filmed on Wednesday from when I drove between Erina (a suburb five minutes east of Gosford) to West Gosford. You can get a general feel for what the Central Coast is like by watching this. Just looking back on this recording, I was at fault for what happened at 3:32. I'll admit, I didn't expect the white car to have done a u-turn at that roundabout, so that's why I went to drive off when I did. However, in retrospect, I still could have been a bit more patient and waited until the traffic had passed.

Nice videos. Just in regards to the second video, wouldn't it have been quicker to turn-off at Shellharbour Road and then turn onto Captain Cook Drive near Blackbutt Forest? Then again, distance wise, I suppose it's much of a muchness really.

Then again, distance wise, I suppose it's much of a muchness really. Thanks. I was going to turn-off at the Shellharbour Road exit, but I was chatting with my friend at the time and missed the exit. It was bloody a pain going through the Oak Flats interchange and Lake Entrance Rd as it added more minutes to my final destination because of the traffic...

It was bloody a pain going through the Oak Flats interchange and Lake Entrance Rd as it added more minutes to my final destination because of the traffic... Ah right, that's fair enough. I do that quite often when I have other people in the car as well. Yeah, it would have been a hassle trying to go through the Oak Flats interchange and then onto Lake Entrance Road. Lake Entrance Road is pretty much congested during most times of the day now, which is pretty frustrating, because the traffic never used to be as bad as what it is now. I see so many near-misses on the Pioneer Drive roundabout. They really need to install traffic lights there like the set of traffic lights that are on the Illawarra Highway roundabout in Albion Park Rail.

So you know the shortcut to get to Bowral as well. Interesting to see that you stopped at the "world famous" Robertson Pie Shop on the way back home. I haven't stopped there in at least 8 or 9 years, but I can remember thinking that their pies were actually a bit ordinary, to be honest.

I forgot to share this earlier in the year, but here is a Dashcam recording I did between the towns of Parkes and Forbes in the Central West of NSW. Just from watching it, you can really tell that both towns are vaguely touching on the Outback and lie on the eastern extremity of it. I also have a Dashcam recording from that same trip of my drive from Narellan to Lithgow, but I haven't uploaded it yet:

So you know the shortcut to get to Bowral as well. Interesting, I didn't know that was a shortcut. It's my first time driving solo to Bowral I was basically following the GPS and it took me through that shortcut. Interesting to see that you stopped at the "world famous" Robertson Pie Shop on the way back home. I haven't stopped there in at least 8 or 9 years, but I can remember thinking that their pies were actually a bit ordinary, to be honest. Yeah, had a sausage roll and a drink. It's been a while since I ate there, and the idea of it been "world famous" is questionable, it's ALWAYS so packed whenever I go there.
