I was literally just being conceived. Nine months before June 2002 is September 2001.

I just read an article about teens born after 9/11 that lost their fathers during the attacks. It’s honestly shocking and sad because first of all, they’re my age and they never got to see their biological fathers. Like imagine how they must feel on father’s day. And imagine how their mothers have felt carrying their little baby and seeing the twin towers collapse knowing that their husband is in there and knowing that they’ll have to take care of the baby themselves. Not to sound like a wannabe millennial, but I never knew even a few people my age were somewhat affected by the attacks despite being born after it. If that’s not sad enough then idk what is.

I was only a year and 9 months when it happened. Unfortunately, I don't remember it. I do know that I was playing with my toys while my parents were watching the news when it happened. They mainly read the newspaper after that day since they wanted me to watch cartoons.

In school, second class of the day right after match class. Another teacher showed up at the door, our teacher walked out for a a couple minutes, then walks back in to tell us.

Neither was I. It must have been a horror to experience.

The September 11 Attacks had a direct and in-direct impact on everyone, the effects of which can still be felt today. Like you mentioned, many families were torn apart and 1,400 rescue workers who responded to the scene in the days/months after the attacks have since passed away from cancer (due to their exposure of toxins). The events of September 11 resulted in tighter airport security worldwide, as well as terrorism becoming a bigger threat. It's hard to comprehend that something so horrific could have even happened. Also, at least 11 pregnancies were lost as a result of the September 11 Attacks. If the attacks had not occurred, they would be 16/17 year old kids in High School right now.

I was turning one month into being a year old when it happened. All I remember is my mother and father being worried while watching the TV.
