For me, 2011 was probably the best year for music in this decade so far. The pop music and hip-hop were amazing.

2012. Justin Bieber had his glow up and his songs drastically improved. “Believe” album dropped and it was a banger. Kendrick Lamar gained more attention with M.A.A.D City (absolutely love that song)

I personally consider 2010 to be the best year for music this decade. It wasn't a great year for music and there are a lot of songs which i'm not really fond of, however it had the most diversity on the charts and I think music was generally heading in a good direction. It was a good year, in particular, for Australian music and there's a few songs that I like:

2010 is the best, easily. Many of the popular hits that year were mindless, but they were also colourful, melodious, and fun. It also wasn’t all just safe club music, since you had albums like Body Talk, The Suburbs, MBDTF, Brothers, and Progress to keep things interesting.
Honourable mention goes to the 2013-2014 school year, which was an abnormally varied and high-quality period for music relative to the rest of the decade. However, neither of the full respective years win because early 2013 was really dull and forgettable, while 2014 suffered pretty badly during its later months.

Now that we are almost into April of 2018, has anyone's opinion changed on what would be the best year for music this decade? I still stand by 2010 as being the best year for music in the 2010s.
