God, today was a messed up day at work. And I wasn't even there! I'm hoping there are no adverse consequences to this, I rather like my job. I remember you said you hated your job. I guess you got into the groove of things?

No, I got a different job. I had a job from around August 2017 till November 2018 that I was absolutely miserable at. I've been at this job since last February and it's a massive improvement.

That's good to hear. The last place sounded awful My random thought: it's sad that 1970 is 50 years ago and 1960 is 60 years ago. It really hits me when my dad was playing 1960s/1970s songs. Like wow, those songs are not just old, they're almost history.

My Grandparents used the internet for the very first time today! Their LG smart-tv has YouTube built-in as an app and my Dad introduced them to it this morning. They had no interest in using the internet whatsoever, so this was a very big leap forward for them.

I'm leaving this forum. It's too young for me and the popular culture goes over my head.

I'm leaving this forum. It's too young for me and the popular culture goes over my head. Please don't. I can understand why you would not be able to relate or join in on the pop culture discussions, however there are other sub-forums here for discussions which aren't related to pop culture. What topics are you interested in? I know that you're an Aston Villa fan. I follow the Premier League and Championship myself as I have an interest in football, so we could always start up a topic about football if you were interested. In any case, I really hope you reconsider your decision. It would be sad to see you go as you have been a member here since the very early days of the forum.

Haha. There would have to be a lot of changes for that to have happened! Watching too much of ‘Back To The Future’ it seems..... Back to The Future thought flying cars would have existed in 2015. Its 2020, and not a single flying car in sight. Also, drivers will need a pilot's license to operate a flying car, and it might be unsafe as air collisions could happen. With normal passenger jets, usually a minimum four-mile separation is required when they are landing on the same runway.

I am now going vegan on Mondays. Going to see how this works out, and then in March, I will add second day of the week to go vegan.

With normal passenger jets, usually a minimum four-mile separation is required when they are landing on the same runway. They surprisingly predicted quite a few things like wearable technology, video calls, advanced TV’s etc. that have happened and are commonplace nowadays, but yes, flying cars and “proper” hoverboards haven’t as such and certainly aren’t commonplace like portrayed in the movie.

oldmusicfan "Spring and summer of 1998 was definitely close to the Y2K era. I probably still would have thought of it as late 90s, but it wasn’t off by a mile. You could tell the difference between 1998 and 1999 just by living in them. ‘99 was the first year of the Y2K era"
I can't even at this statement

Nothing more random than this... Clever of Channel Nine to put on (again) Aussie movie classic The Castle tonight. @zampakid would no doubt be happy it was aired?!
