I personally started to lose interest in cartoons in 2008, when I was 9. Nickelodeon began to target a new demographic around that time and most of the shows which were on the channel didn't really appeal to me. Funnily enough, I actually felt as though I was too "grown up" for the new kids shows. I continued to watch Spongebob and Sheep in the Big City, but as a result of my alienation from current kids shows, I turned to watching cartoons from the '60s. Instead of watching shows like Avatar, I was watching Wacky Races, the Flintstones and Looney Tunes instead. 2008 was the last year I watched cartoons on a regular basis.

Roughly the beginning of 2005. Cartoon Network was suddenly welcoming in a bunch of shows I did not like, and I had gotten much more interested in Dance Dance Revolution as my primary pastime, anyway.

I never watched a whole lot of cartoons to begin with but that was around the same time I stoped watching them on a semi-regular basis becasue I feel like they started to go bad around 2008/9, although I still watched some particular cartoons years after.

You would have also turned 13 in 2005 anyway, so you were no longer really in the target demographic of the kids TV networks (Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network etc.). I never watched a whole lot of cartoons to begin with but that was around the same time I stoped watching them on a semi-regular basis becasue I feel like they started to go bad around 2008/9, although I still watched some particular cartoons years after. That's what I thought too. Even though, it's probably just our perception of it rather than the actual quality of the shows themselves.

I've fully stopped watching cartoons in 2008. I would occasionally watch some 50's-60's (i.e Looney Tunes, Scooby Doo) and 90's cartoons (i.e Classic Nickelodeon shows) every now and then, but not daily.

When I was already 19. But that's just for Nickelodeon. I'm still a fan of Internet cartoons. The goofier the faces and voices, the better.

I still watch Recess, Johnny Bravo and the Powerpuff Girls because they are genuinely funny, especially Recess. TJ is my hero and Gretchen is my homegirl!

Yeah, there's definitely nothing wrong with watching cartoons at an older age. I still occasionally watch the Looney Tunes shorts from time to time.

Agreed!
Answer: I honestly never stopped watching cartoons either although I have taken breaks in between. Whether it's a show such as Family Guy or one being Clarence, I'll still watch it. There were some cartoons I didn't like at all like Uncle Grandpa, Mr. Meaty, Fanboy & Chum-Chum, Planet Sheen, Breadwinners, Butt Ugly Martians, Sanjay & Craig, Secret Fort Awesome and Almost Naked Animals. They were all terrible.

Guys tbh its pretty sad how so many people either say cartoons suck now or they stopped following it cause there’s still a lot of good stuff even today and it’s criminally underrated 😂

I haven’t really. I still watch some whenever I get the chance (and no, not the CGI rubbish, either! ).
