They are certainly a dim-witted bunch! Most are very ignorant about music other than K-Pop and generic rap. The group i'm talking about are intelligent academically but seem dumb regarding everything else Yuck. I can’t stand K-Pop (Gangnam Style ) or even rap music for that matter. I wouldn’t get along with those people knowing that now. Much prefer mainly Rock and a bit of Pop or Europop and such. Sure. They just seem to have extremely poor tastes is all. Mind you, I’ve noted some on here have average tastes in certain music but each to their own. Speaking of extremely poor tastes, I've gotten criticism about my taste a lot. One time, I got shouted at when I posted this in a rate the song above thread on City-Data. (To be fair, I did have this attention-seeking tactic of constantly posting cheesy pop even though most people didn't even like the music I posted.)

Haha, that’s very true! Beethoven?! Who doesn’t like his stuff? It’s really awesome music that I had to listen to for hours when I stayed with my grandparents when I was younger. Anyways, what does being introverted have to do with your likes and dislikes? Those idiots. Some people tend to think that being an introvert means that you can't like rock music, apparently. I actually had a similar experience to Qwerty when I was in Year 9. During my Visual Design class lessons, our teacher would let my class use the interactive whiteboard to play songs off YouTube (so that we could have music on in the background) while we were all doing our work. There was one lesson where no one volunteered to play a song of their choice, so I decided to do it (for the first time) and I picked "One Step Closer" by Linkin Park. As soon as it got to the part of the chorus where Chester screams, "i'm one step closer to the edge and i'm about to break!", my teacher (who was sitting at her desk at the time) suddenly turned straight towards me and said, "I didn't know you were into that type of music!". My entire class was shocked (apart from two of my friends) that I would play a song like "One Step Closer". I told my teacher that rock is my favourite genre of music and I asked her what music she expected me to like, but she couldn't even give me a proper answer. She just said, "i'm not sure actually". No one has ever accused me of liking Beethoven's music though. Stereotyping of sorts. So only extroverts can like certain things and the same deal with introverts? So, I’m an introvert so that means I’m not into rock music either. OK.....

Yeah, it's ridiculous isn't it. Most people probably wouldn't be under that mindset, but there'll always be a few people who have beliefs that are nonsensical.

My Grandad came up with this while we were having lunch at Red Rooster this afternoon: "It's strange that you can get fish & chips at a place that sells roosters". Hmm, can you tell that my Grandparents very rarely go to Red Rooster, lol. It sells chicken, just like KFC does. Not roosters.

"I'm here to also teach about life." I don't get mad at people normally but the people that say this also tend to push my buttons.

Yeah, depending on the context, that's a bit of an arrogant thing for someone to say. Everyone has different life experiences, so i'm not sure how someone can think that they can "teach" a person how to live their life.

Someone said this in my TAFE class on Thursday night after a conversation about the Australian national anthem:
"Didn't Adam Sandler create that?"
The sad thing is, they were being serious...

A fairly bad one at school today, in my History class where we are studying Pop Culture: "Green Day's music is grunge." Thankfully, the teacher appears to have some sort of music knowledge, correcting the student saying that grunge is more representative of Nirvana and Pearl Jam's music.

To be honest, i'm surprised that grunge was the first thing that came into their mind, especially if they are that clueless as to what grunge actually is! Thank goodness for your history teacher. If I was in that class, I would really have to bite my tongue and try not to say something that may end up insulting them, lol.

My friend came up with this while we were in the car this afternoon: "I heard that Matchbox 20 are going to release a new album next year, because it will be 2020 and they are Matchbox 20". For the record, it hasn't been confirmed that they are in the process of producing a new album. Also, another friend of mine went on this big, ridiculous rant just last week about how he believes Lady Gaga is a MTF transgender and has a male private part. The funny thing is, he backed up his argument by saying that he heard about it at high school, lol. I have some strange friends...
