Sometimes, when you're out in public, you can hear a song at a place which you wouldn't normally associate as being an appropriate place for the song to be played, such as at a shop. Have there been any instances where you have heard a song being played in a shop or a public place and thought, "that seems like a strange song to play at a place like this"? Here are a few of my examples: * A few years ago, I went into the Best & Less at my local shopping centre and it was playing "Lonely Day" by System of a Down. * Last night, "All Torn Down" by The Living End was played in the Chinese restaurant I was in. * I went to a games shop a month ago and it was playing "Freak on a Leash" by Korn.

Any shop I'm in and if Taylor Swift comes on, I always wonder "Why, oh why?"

I heard "Without You" by Silverchair being played in a furniture store earlier today. It's amazing how popular alternative-rock is in Australia. I mean, what are the chances of still hearing songs such as "All Torn Down", "Freak on a Leash" and "Without You" being played in retail stores. In fact, on the radio at the moment, there is even a commercial which references "Ironic" by Alanis Morissette. I think I might even have it recorded. If I do, i'll upload it and share it on here!

I went to a pub for lunch today and they were playing an acoustic version of "Hanging by a Moment" by Lifehouse. The cover wasn't performed by Lifehouse though; i'm not sure who the singer was.

I'm watching a rugby league match on TV at the moment and just a few minutes ago, they played "Chop Seuy!" by System of a Down at the stadium!
