For whatever reason, I've always had a lot of nostalgia for 2003, when I was 4 years old. I'm not sure if anyone else feels the same way, but for me, one of the reasons why I am really fond of when I was 4 years old, is because I was old enough to take in what was going on around me, yet I was still too young to truly process it. As a result, it's a year full of childhood innocence and it's really nice to think back on. I'm just curious, do you feel the same way about when you were 4 years old? Are you very nostalgic for it as well?

What you said, Shark, mate.
At 4 years old, you are just becoming aware of things, yet are still young enough to enjoy your childhood without a care. I do have very vivid and happy memories of my 4 year old days back in Ireland and I felt loved and safe. I had not yet learned how evil the world was.

Age 4 is the first age I can vividly recall certain events. I remember the pop culture and movies from 2006 pretty well. When I reminisce about the days when I was 4, my dad is impressed that I still remember things from such an age. I vividly remember my younger brother (who’s 3 years younger than me) being an infant and toddler. Now he’s almost 13.

My cat is 13, Danny, 14 in December.
My earliest memories are from when I was 3 in the early 1960s.

I was just hearing the song "What Goes Around Comes Around" by Justin Timberlake released in 2006. I was aged 4 at the time, but it did bring back some memories from that year. Age 4 is the first age I have some vivid memories of. I remember nothing prior to 2005.

I was 4 in 2006. I remember when The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess came out in 2006, my brother had it on Gamecube and I'd watch him play it, we even had a poster for the game. I remember the commercials for New Super Mario Bros (DS) and a commercial for Hasbro's iDog Robotic Loving Canine. I also remember when the Nintendo Wii came out. I also started playing soccer for some reason, despite only being a toddler.

I was 4 in 1997. I was a hyperactive child and drove my parents insane.
I have a picture of me from 1997playing with a giant beach ball indoors, with my face and shirt covered in ice cream. I remember that after I used to wash my hands, I would use the white curtains to dry my hands instead of the coloured towel, because I thought the colour would rub on my hands.

Not sure why, but I remember 2001, 2002, and 2004 a lot more than 2003.

Not sure why, but I remember 2001, 2002, and 2004 a lot more than 2003. Yeah, it's strange how that can happen. For instance, I actually have more memories from 2001 than I do from 2002, namely because 2002 was a really uneventful year for me. I'm sure your parents wouldn't have liked that.

I don't really have nostalgia for age 4 (2003), but there are a few things from then that make me nostalgic like the Lilo & Stitch TV show, I was obsessed with the Lilo & Stitch movie as well and Stitch the Movie (the title may be confusing, I think it's a prologue to the TV show). Probably some original Xbox games I played then that would make me nostalgic, maybe a few songs from then as well. I know I loved Star Wars then, RotS wasn't out yet and I didn't watch the original trilogy until after I watched Revenge of the Sith, so it was just The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones for me at the time, lol.

I can remember that period vividly! I was moving house at the time at relocating back down to Melbourne in 2005 with the next year or so being mixed with so many different adventures.

Interesting. Just out of curiosity, are there any songs from 2003 that make you feel nostalgic at all? I was only 4 years old at the time as well, but there's heaps of songs which make me feel very nostalgic for the year.

I'm not really a fan of these artists, but John Mayer - Daughters, Black Eyed Peas - Where Is The Love, and Avril Lavigne - I'm With You do make me nostalgic.
The songs below also make me nostalgic to an extent, but not that much since I still hear them relatively often through the radio and media in general.

Random Star Wars fanMost of the songs you shared make me feel very nostalgic for 2003 as well, especially "Crazy In Love". Here are a few more songs from 2003 which make me nostalgic:
