1977-1979: Pinwheel Age (Nick was known as Pinwheel in the late 1970's) 1979-1986: Diamond Age (Nickelodeon before game shows) 1986-1991: The Pre-Nicktoons Age (you had game shows like Double Dare and Finders Keepers, but Nicktoons did not exist yet) 1991-1998: Golden Age (When the channel was at its absolute prime) 1998-2005: Silver Age (The Age of Klasky Csupo) 2005-2009: Bronze Age (Nick is definitely declining in quality, but there were still many good shows on air - a perfect example would be Drake and Josh) 2009-2012: The Waning Age (Nick's logo changes, but the channel is still not completely unwatchable) 2012-present: The Teenybopper Age (The channel, aside from a few good Spongebob episodes shown on reruns, is completely ruined. In my opinion, the channel attempts to target itself to teenyboppers)

I think Nickelodeon underwent a demographic shift in 2008/2009. The channel was targeting a different audience to the one it was targeting in the Mid 2000s, in my opinion.
