Electronic experimentation was actually fairly common in the 50s, especially among modern classical composers. Techniques such as "music taping", echoing, feedbacking and electroacoustic compositions were among the breakouts of the decade.
Not to mention Space Age Pop was a very popular genre in the 50s when enthusiasm for space exploration and the future was huge, and that genre commonly used the theremin, an early electronic instrument. Here is a 40s example even:
Also "Electronic Movements" was released in 1962, not 1958. That song is absolutely not Acid House unlike what the video title says, not even close. It's just electronic sounds taped over and over, not EDM which is a direct off-shoot from Disco so only existed since the late 70s anyway.
"Popcorn" is also an electronic experimentation coupled with a catchy rhythm that accidently ended sounding like Synthpop coming from the 80s.
