I thought this might an interesting idea for a topic. There are instances where music videos are very representative of the era in which they were released. Here are two examples:
This Grunge song from 1995. I actually think the band wanted to make the music video look as "90s" as they possibly could. It features skateboarding, flannel shirts, baggy clothes, sunglasses and "alternative" teens.
The music video of "In Too Deep" by Sum-41 is a pretty good time-capsule of Y2K-Era fashion and atmosphere/vibe.

I think the music video for "Rock It" is very representative of 2010 and the Early 2010s, in general.
