I thought this might be interesting!
I have moved multiple times, I lived in my first home for about 12 months, before going up to Sydney in 2002. I relocated back to Melbourne in 2005 and lived in my first home for a while. My parents purchased my current home in October, 2006 and we moved in in early January, 2007.

Interesting thread idea AussieTV! I've only moved once. We've rented a property for 2 years (1996-1998) and lived there until we bought our current home in 1998. I was 1 year 8 months old when we moved.

My parents bought a new house in 2006 (which they still live in) which I lived in for 4-5 years before moving to Melbourne for a few years. I eventually decided to relocate back to Tassie after that for various reasons. I now live in my own house while after a short stay with my parents a couple of years ago. That about covers it I guess!

This is kind of a difficult question to answer, because technically I have and haven't moved houses. My parents are divorced. I live with my Mum and although we have never moved, my Dad has moved a few times. My Mum owns the house we live in, as my parents had built the house back in the Mid '90s.

My parents lived in a duplex in Clairemont back when I was born, but we moved to Scripps Ranch in 1994, around the time my sister was born. We moved to a slightly larger house, also in Scripps Ranch, in 2006. My parents still reside there, but I've been on my own in an apartment a bit closer to the coast since late this past October. All these neighborhoods are part of San Diego, so never has the move been too drastic, aside from me finally enjoying greater autonomy in the same city I grew up in and love.

We moved from the small house I was born in to a larger one (in more or less the same neighbourhood) in 1999 when I was 6 years old. Other than not living next door to my neighbour (who was sort of my boyfriend ) it wasn't a drastic change. I still went to the same school, and still lived in Hamilton. I moved again in 2004 when I was 11 to an apartment in downtown Toronto, about 1.5 hours from Hamilton if the traffic is good. That was a drastic change for me. I had no friends and a hard time making any. I was extremely homesick. I moved in 2006 to a more spacious house, right next to downtown but in a different neighbourhood (and each neighbourhood in downtown is VERY different from the other - different demographics). I miss that place. I loved the urban atmosphere, I loved living walking/biking distance from everywhere and very close to the beach. I lived near a subway stop too. I did live with an aunt/uncle (family friends) for a bit in 2008/09 school year in an inner suburb of Toronto, but that was only for a short while, and the area was still rather urban. In 2011 I moved to where I am now in a suburb north of Toronto. The house is massive! The area is very suburban-rural, and very close to nature. Very beautiful, quiet and safe city. I hate living so far from downtown Toronto though, I miss that place.

I moved once in January 2008, 10 years to the day that my family moved into that house in January 1998 before I was born.

Nope, my parents and my older siblings moved to a new house in January 2001, exactly one year before I was born.

We've moved several times. But I only remember having made just one big move, since I was still a kid. We're going to be moving again soon too.

My family and I moved to our current house in 2005 and have been living here ever since. I don't have any memory of the old house.
