Here’s one my dad told me about many years ago. I felt for the poor guy. He knew a guy named Richard Head. I mean, what would have you been thinking with the surname ‘Head’ to go giving the kid the name ‘Richard’. He would’ve been teased something terrible at school I’d imagine. That's just cruel! His parents surely must have considered the fact that Richard isn't a suitable first name for any member of the family? Ikr. I’m sure he couldn’t wait to change his name! Poor kid! I just found this random :

There are people in my country who actually have Macadangdang as a surname. "Butt" is a common surname in Northern India. In that part if the world it's common to put your last name in the name of your business, so I saw places like "Butt Factory", "Butt Chilli Restaurant", "Butt Fine Dining" etc. We actually had a cabinet minister with the last name Butt. It was childishly bemusing when people would call him "The Right Honourable Butt". Speaking of funny politician names I always thought "Bill Shorten" was a funny name for a politician.

There is a contestant on Millionaire Hot Seat (a quiz game show) tonight with the name, "Chelsea Large". Her surname isn't pronounced any differently either.

You have to wonder if most of these are for real! You would hate to think so! Imagine having one of those names. No one would take you seriously.

Late last year, a friend of mine and my science teacher were having a conversation about my science teacher's wife (pretty strange thing to talk about, but anyway) during class. My friend couldn't remember what her name was (my science teacher had told all of us previously), so he asked my teacher: Friend -"What's her name, a nanna?" Teacher - "It's Anita" Friend - "I thought it was antenna". That doesn't make any sense! Why would someone have "antenna" as a first name?

Anyways, more importantly, does she transmit or receive any signals?

I just realised that I accidentally posted that in the wrong thread (I was going to post it in the "Dumb things you hear people say" thead). Oh well. Haha. She must, since my science teacher fell in love with her.

prodanny288 cooldudez Okay, enough. There's nothing wrong with having a bit of banter, but as long as it's appropriate. Making comments about someone's sex life isn't acceptable. This is a word of warning. If the two of you continue to insult and make derogatory comments about each other, you will both be issued official warnings.
