Have you ever watched a VHS tape and noticed that the content on the tape significantly contrasts from each other? Here are two examples from a couple of tapes I own: * A tape with The Little Mermaid and election coverage of the 2003 NSW State Election. * I own another tape which has a Busy Buses episode and an episode of CSI Miami on it.

I had several tapes like that, here's two weird ones: *A tape with Stuart Little that later transitions to Broken Arrow *A episode of The Simpsons that afterwards transitions to Pulp Fiction

Yes. Those are pretty significant aren’t they! One of the weirdest ones I’ve got in my collection is movie The Terminator that transitions out to two seperate episodes of final segments of Saturday Disney from 1994.

Haha, that is a strange combination! The Terminator and Saturday Disney definitely don't have anything in common. Yeah, the recording of the Terminator goes way back with TasTV presentation throughout it. The Saturday Disney content is a fair bit later with the Southern Cross Network constellation promos/ident presentation.

This probably doesn't count but it's interesting.
You're watching WIN Tele...*clears throat* no wait you're watching Channel Nine!

Speaking of, I assume WIN Wollongong had a 12am to early morning handover to metro back in the day? Similar thing occurred where you caught a brief repeat of idents or promos up until the late 2000s, when WIN Tasmania "switched" their feed to WIN regional Victoria for early morning content mostly right on 12am each night.

Yes. Although they would add their WIN Promos/Ident but Nine's PRG would be shown like these examples :

Interesting. As I said, locally, WIN went over to regional Victoria in the early hours in the mid to late 2000s. Although, I’m pretty sure they switched over to Nine sometime in the 90s (I remember seeing a recording of this somewhere years ago but can’t for the life of me remember now).

Yep. I reckon it was from Nine Melbourne for down here. I don’t think I have recordings of those but I do have ones with WIN Tasmania switched to WIN Victoria back in the day.

Here's another example I discovered only a couple of nights ago: A tape which contains one of my Easter hat parades from primary school, but then it suddenly cuts to a scene from Jurassic Park.

Was that the Sofie Formica days? She may have been before then. LISA BARRY?

I clearly remember having a vhs starting with the gravyard scene of the Superman movie then immediately transitioning into a tv documentary about the 2004 Tsunami.
One time I also accidentely recorded Spongebob episodes on the tape of the first birthday of my sister :s.
