What if 9/11 had never happened?

I'm interested to hear what everyone else's viewpoint is on this. Had 9/11 not happened, do you believe pop culture and/or society would have been significantly different?
As for myself, I personally don't think the trajectory of pop culture would have changed too much. In the United States, teen-pop was already on it's way out prior to 9/11. It's possible that it may have had a slightly longer lifespan in the US, but it wouldn't have been too substantial. The events of 9/11 did not have a strong influence on music or other forms of pop culture. Emo music still likely would have been a mainstream movement, much like snap rap would have been as well.
The biggest difference would be the view on terrorism, in my opinion. Had 9/11 not happened, the world wouldn't be as preoccupied on preventing terrorist attacks from occurring. It's likely that the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan would have still eventuated.
