Does anyone else think 2013 was very transitional?

Pop culture-wise, I feel as if 2013 was one of the most transitional years in this decade so far.
It had a different feel to it compared to 2010 when electropop was at its peak and artists like Ke$ha were very popular, but at the same time, it felt different from 2016 when Trap was everywhere.
In 2013, we saw the rise of Ariana Grade, new artists like Lorde, and one of the very first signs of Gen Z culture despite the year still being late millennial culture. 2013 seemed like it had the perfect mixture of early 2010's culture and mid-2010's culture.
Things that make 2013 more early 2010's:
-Dubstep was still popular
-It was the last hurrah for electropop
-The last year when lots of teens were using Facebook
-The last early 2010's year (numerically speaking, mid-2010's didn't start until May 2013)
-The last year when Lady Gaga was popular (with her song Applause topping the charts)
-The last year where having logos on shirts were common (e.g Aeropostale shirts)
-2013 was still predominately late millennial culture despite it being the cusp
Things that make 2013 more mid-2010's:
-Mid-2010's artists like Ariana Grande and Lorde becoming popular
-First year with a few signs of Gen Z culture
-The year when Vine came out and became extremely popular in 2013 and would stay that way for 2014-2015.
-First year that is numerically more mid-2010's than early 2010's (January-April 2013 was early 2010's, the rest of 2013 was the mid-2010's)
-The year where apps like Snapchat were very popular by late 2013.
-The electropop music genre being completely dead by the end of 2013.
-Instagram was very popular this year.
