The fall of 2003 was the start of the peak 00s culture. The first half of 2003 still had that minor late 90s vibe.

Was 2003 the transition from spiky frosted tips to shaggy hair for guys? I remember the skater, beachy and messy shaggy hair from 2002 to early 2004 being different from emo hairstyle from latter half of 2004 onwards.

The fall of 2003 was the start of the peak 00s culture. The first half of 2003 still had that minor late 90s vibe. I think all of 2003 thru the 1st 1/2 of 2004 had that minor late 1990s vibe with 1990s shows going strong such as Friends & Frasier. I also think that spring 2003 was the start of peak 2000s culture. There was no late 90s teen pop on the radio as of June 2002 and going into 2003 def there was no teen pop, any artists like Britney and Justin had moved onto a new darker edgy sound. The only thing I can come up with is maybe Radio Disney which had 0% impact on the charts until the late 2000s. By January 2003 - The recession was heading out - 50 cent was the biggest artist in the world - War on Iraq had started - The Neptunes were the producers for most of pop music not Max Martin - WWF was now WWE - Avril Lavigne was a house hold name Even shows like Friends & Frasier adjusted to the 2000s once 2001 hit, there was this early 2000s transition that me and slashpop have talked about, going from Spring 2003 - July 2004 it was weeding out the early 2000s influences to make way for the Myspace/Emo kickstart of Fall 2004. 2003 to July 2004 is a weird era because it is very hard to define it. By Fall 2003 you did have mid 2000s Mega Power things come in but... it still took time to change. The early 2000s had a massive after glow effect that took long to get rid of. The Mid 2000s despite starting in spring 2003 took a bit to start moving, kind of like a train that takes long or that is stuck on the track.

Like it took a MIN for it to release lol Like even in 2004 it was shaking off the cob webs. I think this is due in fact to the early 2000s having such strong energy.

I was 4 at the time. I can remember sitting on the lounge with my Mum one night and looking through catalogues to see how much PS2's were selling for. I desperately wanted one, and if my memory serves me correctly, they were still around $350-$400 at the time.

The early 2000s had such strong energy & vibes. The 1st 1/2 of 2004 felt early 2000s, despite the core 2000s beginning in spring 2003. Spring 2003-spring 2004 seemed drunk on the early 2000s. I mistake a lot of fashion, R&B, hip-hop, movies & TV shows from 2004 passing as early 2000s like from 2001 or 2002. 2004 was a part of Bush’s 1st term as well.

LOL I could see the music video for Invisible. I was obsessed with it earlier this year, in April or May I think? That's why it's on my Spotify Wrapped. But I could no longer relate because I've realized that it's better to be invisible than the other way round. To paraphrase the song, ''If I was invisible/Wait, I no longer am.🤭'' Still think the idea of watching someone in their room is hot though. 🤭

BTW, this should theoretically be the peak of my childhood if you believe in the 7 years and 5 months theory. It doesn't really feel like it though. I'd say that late 2002-early 2003 feels more like the peak of my childhood.
