Launch window being like a year for the sake of argument. The build up to launch and E3 presentations and stuff also count. Just in general, which project was a bigger fuckup.
I would say Xbox One. They had to basically backtrack on everything they originally planed and even then after that and they released the console it was still looked down on and overshadowed by the PS4. The Xbox One was a complete laughing stock that year.

Let’s add a third to the mix. Which is worse, the Saturn, PS3, or Xbox One?

Saturn is the absolute worst. PS3 is a legendary console no doubt but had a shitty launch. Xbox One also had a pretty bad launch, however, at least there wasn't a clown destroying the console on Day 1 unlike (*coughs* PS4).

Yeah, I'd definitely agree the Saturn is the worst, cause it basically led to the collapse of Sega, who had previously been the biggest name in the gaming industry (at least as far as consoles were concerned). The system was pretty much doomed from failure ever since E3 1995 and the infamous moment when Sony announced the PS1 was $299 instead of the Saturn's $399. And we all know what happened: the PS1 became the best-selling system of the 5th gen, whilst the Saturn flopped. The PS3 and Xbox One were also overpriced, which contributed to their terrible launches. Both were mocked on launch, but I remember people DESPISED the Xbox One on launch, to the point where (usually older) people said it was a representation of everything with modern gaming (thanks to things like the Kinect, the entertainment focus, and the privacy invasion). I myself was becoming disillusioned with gaming during that time, and became more interested in older consoles such as the PS1 and N64 (when consoles were "just consoles"). The PS3 was bad at the time, but at least there were positive aspects about it, and it didn't represent the downfall of gaming like the Xbox One did.

You people are delusional if you think the xbox one launch was worse than the ps3 launch
Yes, the xbox one sold badly... But when the ps3 came out and flopped people thought it was the end of the PlayStation era and that Playstation was the new SEGA

Xbox One. PS3 at least recovered big time and eventually overtook Xbox 360's sales count, Xbox One never really recovered and people still much preferred the PS4

Xbox one in my opinion was the worst launch.
