The early part of the decade was all about going out clubbing and had an upbeat vibe to it compared to the surreal and chaotic energy of the late 2010s. Everything seemed to change during 2015-2016.

You started to see it in 2014, but yeah, 2016 is when it really got out of hand. Afterwards, everything had to be politicized and preachy, and everything in general became more divisive and toxic.

Apart from politics, the 2010s was quite consistent. I don't know what you mean by people stopped going to the clubs in 2016. Clubbing never stopped being popular until the pandemic hit in 2020. The biggest cultural shift was in 2013, but the 2010s were quite consistent for culture all the way through.

That’s not what I meant, the atmosphere of the early 2010s was different from the late 2010s. The 2010s weren’t as consistent as you make it out to be

But the 2010s were still more consistent than the 00s and 90s for example

Technology changes every decade and yes the 2010s was a huge change for technology as well. Going from self driving cars being sci Fi to actual self driving cars that can be purchased and VR being something that you cannot buy to VR headsets costing only $200 and smartphones getting extremely powerful. You probably think tech didn't change much because the '90s weren't that long ago and that's when the internet became big and nothing beats that yet. But you are so wrong that technology was consistent...

Over fact that all the innovations in the decade were paved by the 90s and they’re primitive versions existed during the era already. Even the internet changed a lot during the 2010s. So musically too you was where the 2010a stayed consistent overall ?

Party rap was pretty consistent through the 2000s, it just went from gangsta to crunk to snap to autotune.

Party rap was pretty consistent through the 2000s, it just went from gangsta to crunk to snap to autotune. I think early 2000s rap was a bit darker compared to the mid-late 2000s stuff. Like you look at the likes of Eminem, Outkast, DMX, even Jay-Z, it's a bit more intense compared to the party raps of Lil Jon, 50 Cent, or, well, just about ANY ringtone rapper, who almost never touched upon serious issues in their work.

It wasn't widely used in hip hop until the late 2000s, but it still existed in the early 2000s nonetheless (not the mention the "Cher effect" was super huge in early 00s electronica). Here's a hip hop track from the early 00s that I know for sure used some autotune: Yeah, but, as you said, it wasn't widely used, meaning, most of the popular hip-hop acts of the time didn't use it. Whereas in the late 00s, rappers like Lil Wayne and T-Pain were using it a lot.

Personally, I started to see the late 2010s atmosphere with Gamergate/Tumblr SJWs in 2014 thanks to millennials.
