How would you ranked the sub-eras of the 21st Century so far from the lightest to the darkest in terms of news events, pop culture natural disasters etc?… Feel free if you agree or disagree.
IMO, from lightest to the darkest
1) Early 2010s
2) Late 2000s
3) Early 2000s
4) Mid 2000s
5) Mid 2010s
6) Late 2010s
7) Early 2020s (so far)

Lightest to Darkest
1) Early 2000s ( with the exception of 9/11 and the echo effect this era was very light all around) 2) Early 2010s 3) Mid 2000s 4) Late 2000s 5) Late 2010s 6) Mid 2010s
Not adding anything else yet

Not adding anything else yetI get that you hate the mid 2010s, but is it really darker than the late 2010s? Hipster culture wasn't particularly dark, after all. Muted and pretentious? Sure. But, the whole sad boi emo rap shit of the late 2010s was way fucking darker. I'd put the early 2010s as the lightest. There weren't any MAJOR tragedies that happened, and pop culture was incredibly upbeat and lighthearted.

It can be either or mid 2010s and late 2010s, the thing is I put mid 2010s because of all the terrorist attacks that kept on happening, there was one like every month starting in 2013 and going all the way until Summer 2016.

Well, you can say a similar thing for the late 2010s, but replace terrorist attacks with mass shootings
