When did the fear of another 9/11 happening started to heal in the 2000s or did that happen in the 2010s/2020s and now its a fear of Russia instead of Afghanistan ?

The paranoia was over by Spring Summer 2002, it was still in the back of your head but it wasn't something you were obsessively thinking about every single day. why 2002 felt lighter is because of this. After 9/11 happened there was this freeze feeling that lasted until late October/November 2001, around November you started seeing the malls get packed again. I was @ the Mall in October to pick up Grand Theft Auto III and I have never seen a mall more packed before. Keep in mind Lord of The Rings & Harry Potter were releasing and Xbox and Gamecube were coming out, as well as Michael Jordan returning to play for the NBA. There was a renewed optimism of "coming together" very similar to the "we are all in this together" commercials you saw in 2020, a ton of those were played in late 2001.

Oh is that why lot of songs from 2003ish kinda sound like this. The 2000s version of “hands across America”
