Based off the poll, it appears as though most people are in favour of the idea. Myself personally, I can see both sides of the argument and I agree with all of the points raised, whether it be for or against the idea. I'm not sure what everyone else thinks of this, but we could trial the idea and see how active/successful the four sub-boards are. If activity in the four sub-boards are low, it could return to the existing layout/structure. What does everyone think?

Due to the response in the poll, I've decided that we can trial it out and see how successful the idea is. If it's not successful after a certain amount of time, it can revert back to being just one "Music" sub-board.

Now that I think about it, I'm not really sure if this should be on Popedia until we gain more active members. Right now, unicornic's thread on the hip-hop subforum called "2018: The year in hip-hop" has gotten no responses so far, and it was made 11 hours ago. In conclusion, I still like this idea, but I think it would be best to wait until we get more active members. Right now, I don't really think it's necessary.

I think that would just make the board more difficult to browse. As it is, I just click on 'View recent posts'/'View recent threads' button as opposed to browsing each of the boards, because it would take too long to comb through all of them.

I also don't think it helps that there are four sub-boards in the "Entertainment" board, which means that some threads can be overshadowed by posts in other threads/boards. If the "Music" board was a separate board in it's own right, I actually think the threads in the sub-board would receive more activity. At this stage, i'm thinking that the music sub-board will revert to it's original structure sometime soon.

I think that it is a terrific idea. I'm not sure what you would think of this suggestion, but what do you think of decade sections in those subboards?

While I appreciate the fact that you're trying to make improvements to Popedia, I don't think you have a sufficient amount of members to implement these sub-boards and keep them active. It doesn't help that these sub-boards are causing threads posted in them buried thus getting little to no responses, especially when you have a big board called music that was here before the change.

After much consideration, I've decided that it's more ideal if the "Music" sub-board reverted back to it's previous structure. I like the idea of having separate sub-boards for different music genres/topics, however it's just not viable at this point in time. Threads are getting buried, due to the additional sub-boards in the "Entertainment" board. Once a few more members join the forum, having additional sub-boards is something we can consider.
